Step 2: Moisture Treatment — Any signs of moisture intrusion or efflorescence on concrete surfaces are treated with a masonry sealer or appropriate treatment before any paint is applied.
Step 3: Preparation — Surfaces are cleaned, sanded where needed, and primed with a product appropriate to the surface type — drywall primer on drywall, masonry primer or sealer on concrete.
Step 4: Painting — Two coats of finish paint applied in the correct product — moisture-tolerant masonry paint for concrete surfaces, premium interior paint for drywalled areas.
Step 5: Trim & Detail — Basement trim, door frames, utility surfaces, and any other painted elements finished to complete the space.
